Men on Fire

Led by Dennis Ing - Meets 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month at 9:00 AM, beginning May 16 at the Church Office in Calabash - encourage, foster and empower Christian men.
Aloha! I was born and raised in Hawai’i on the Island of Oahu, the son of a Preacher man.
After graduating high school, I joined the US Air Force as a Fire Protection Specialist. In 1989 was hired into the Federal Fire Service at Naval Station Pearl Harbor. My professional fire career lasted for over 25 years, in which I operated in environments where clarity, courage, and decisive action were the difference between life and death.
I progressed in my career to the rank of Assistant Fire Chief where I commanded complex all hazard emergency scenes at the US Army War College in PA and as a Fire Instructor and Chief of Operations at “Top Gun” Naval Fighter School in Fallon, NV. With a focus on selfless service and the protection of others. My goal is to bring the “Spiritual Fire Line” to the front lines of faith.
As the leader of Men on Fire, I am driven by a calling to encourage, foster, and empower Christian men to step into their God-given roles as leaders. Just as a fire crew rely on discipline and brotherhood, Christian men need a foundation of brotherhood built on spiritual strength and accountability necessary to lead our families and community effectively.
My approach is anchored in the charge found in 1 Corinthians 16:13: "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; act like men; be strong."
I am currently studying Pastoral Ministry through the Moody Bible Institute where I hope to obtain my Pastoral Certificate. I enjoy driving and displaying my custom 67 truck at car shows. I live in Loris, SC with my beautiful wife Shannon. We have three boys, five grand children. and three dogs, Nalu, Anela, & Lani.
