In the third message of our Advent series, Pastor Richard takes us into the theme of Joy — a joy that isn’t just about happiness, but a deep-rooted assurance in God’s promises, even in the midst of hardship.

Drawing from Luke 2:10 and other key Scriptures, we explore the true meaning of joy, which is often misunderstood as mere happiness or ease. Joy, as Pastor Richard shares, is not about avoiding life’s struggles, but about living in the confident hope that God is working to redeem and restore all things. Through the story of Jesus’ birth, we see how God brings joy into the brokenness of our world — joy that shines a light on the promises He’s made for our future and transforms our present reality.

This message invites us to reflect on the nature of true joy — a joy that comes from walking through pain, trusting in God’s redemption, and knowing that no circumstance can ever stop His ultimate plan. Joy isn’t found in the absence of struggle but in the assurance that God is at work, even in our darkest moments.

As we continue our Advent journey, we are reminded that joy is not just for the “happy”, but is available to all who trust in the power of the God who is making all things new.

Join us as we celebrate the joy of the season — a joy that comes from the hope fulfilled in the birth of our Savior and the assurance that, no matter what life brings, God’s promises are sure.
