In the eighteenth message of our series through the Gospel of John, Pastor Richard continues in John 6:30–70, where Jesus makes one of His most profound declarations: "I am the bread of life" — and challenges those who would follow Him only as far as their felt needs are met.

The crowd that witnessed the feeding of the multitudes wants more bread. But Jesus redirects them toward something far greater — a new kind of life, available to anyone willing to look past their own wants and believe. It's a challenge that is just as real for us today: are we following Jesus only until our needs are met, or are we willing to go deeper?

Pastor Richard reminds us that the life Jesus offers isn't about quick fixes or answered prayers alone — it's about a transformational kingdom life that grows richer the more we surrender to it. When many in the crowd find this teaching too hard and walk away, it is Peter who speaks for every honest believer: "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life."

Have you tried everything else and still found yourself empty? Jesus is saying — you thought that was something, come with me.

Join us as we continue our journey through the Gospel of John — discovering that the bread Jesus offers doesn't just sustain us through our next crisis, but transforms everything about the way we live.
